Fundraise For Us

Every penny you raise goes towards helping us care for our community.

It costs over £550,000 a year to keep the charity running and we couldn’t achieve this without your vital support. We have loads of charity events throughout the year that you can get involved in or join up to and help raise vital funds. However, if you would like to fundraise for us and do your own event, whether that be on your own, or a group event with your friends, work colleagues or school, our fundraising team are here ready to support and guide you to help make your event as successful as can be.

Holding your own event can be as big or as small as you like. Here are some ideas for you to get you started.

• Show off your creative side by holding a bake sale, coffee morning or, if arts and crafts are your thing, why not sell some items in support of Cancer Relief?
• Take on a Sponsored Challenge – whatever your physical activity, simply set yourself a goal and get going! Whether it’s walking, running, cycling, dancing or something more adventurous, get active and fundraise for people affected by cancer in your community. Get your family, friends work, or school colleagues involved too! Cancer Relief is a partner with realbuzz running for charity. • Set up a Birthday Fundraiser – Do you have a birthday coming up? Many people choose to ask for donations towards their favourite charity instead of presents. Or if you are having a party, you could hold a raffle or organise some fun games such as run a sweepstake or bingo – get everyone involved and give your guests the chance to go home with a prize! Or you could hold a charity auction get everyone bidding if you have a high value prize!
• Make your Wedding extra special – Do you know we have beautiful wedding favours available for you to purchase for your guests? It is a simple and easy way of supporting your local cancer charity. More and more brides and grooms are also deciding to use their special day as a way of collecting funds for their favourite charity. Setting up a JustGiving page for your special day to ask for donations instead of cards and gifts is easy. If that’s not for you, you could offer your guests a memorable signature cocktail in exchange for a donation.
