The morning of Sunday, September 14th , Gibraltar woke up with wagging tails and cheerful smiles a as we hosted the “Paws For A Cause” Dog Walk. Not only did this event support Cancer Relief, but brought us together with our friends from the Animals In Need Foundation for a morning of activity and excitement.
For dog lovers, families, and supporters alike, this morning walk combined two important causes – supporting those affected by cancer, and caring for vulnerable animals in need of extra TLC. The turnout was lovely, and we are again astounded by the generosity and kindness shown by everyone who took part.
Experiences like these are only possible thanks to the collaborative effort of many. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to:
· Animals In Need Foundation: our partner charity for this event, and passionate advocates for animal welfare. Thank you for coming together with us to make this event happen for our furry friends!
· Costa Coffee – for fuelling all our human walkers with a coffee on a Sunday morning
· DJ Nihal – for bringing the music, vibes, and keeping the atmosphere lively with great energy
· Gibraltar Veterinary Clinic – our incredible course marshals and for providing the special gift to our first 100 doggie registrants!
· And of course, to our amazing VOLUNTEERS across the board, whose dedication and willingness to give us their Sunday morning helped make everything run smoothly. We truly could not do it without you – you’re all paw-some!
Funds raised from this event will directly support the work of both Cancer Relief Gibraltar and Animals In Need Foundation. We are already listening to the outpouring of paws-itivity and looking ahead to the next opportunity to come together, 4-legged and human friends alike! Thank you for walking with us, supporting us, and being part of what was truly a barking good time!
