On the 6th of September, a group of determined rowers from the Calpe Rowing Team set out for an extraordinary goal: embarking on a 24-Hour Rowing Challenge to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Relief. With a goal of rowing 275km, and raising £2000.00, the team prepared themselves for a day of endurance and purpose.

Alongside the perfectly coordinated rowing shifts, this committed group also held a bake sale while teammates pedalled next to them on stationary bikes.
Thanks to this incredible effort, and the unwavering support of the community, the event raised over £4500.00, smashing their original fundraising target along with rowing right past their original distance goal! What did they reach do we know? Would be good to put it in Every bit raised will go directly towards helping the Cancer Relief mission of providing accessible and free services to all those affected by cancer in our community.

We are truly grateful for this incredible Rowing Team and all who supported this impressive initiative. For those that rowed, cheered, or baked – every contribution truly is appreciated and inspiring. This event was a beautiful example of what can happen when a people come together with drive and bring their special talents together to make a difference!
