Housekeeping
Housekeeping volunteers help us ensure that the centre is a warm and welcoming place to visit. Duties may include setting up various areas ready for the day ahead, laundry, guiding guests to their appointments and making teas and coffees.
Driver
Volunteer drivers provide safe and reliable transport for both people affected by cancer and for the charity’s practical needs. This may include driving service users to and from the centre, as well as carrying out errand-based journeys such as collecting or delivering items, resources, or donations.
Gardening
Gardening volunteers look after the charity’s outdoor spaces, helping to maintain gardens and green areas.
Administration / Office Support
Administrative volunteers assist staff with behind-the-scenes tasks such as data entry, filing, preparing mailings, and organising resources.
Fundraising Logistics Support
Supporting the Fundraising Department both in the office and on location with the planning, preparation, set-up, and close down needs of fundraising events. Full training will be provided.
Fundraising Events Support
Supporting and representing the Fundraising Department through volunteering at the charity’s events and other fundraising activities, both during standard working hours and outside normal hours (evenings and weekends). Full training will be provided.
DIY / Maintenance
DIY and maintenance volunteers help keep the charity’s premises safe, functional, and welcoming.
